I always carry a film camera with me. Generally it's a Pentax K1000 that is really my wife's. It was passed down to her through the family and I eventually picked it up and started using it...without asking. The beauty of film is the wait. I shoot rolls of film and they go on the shelf. They don't immediately get processed. It's a slower rhythm... the whole process. Eventually, I'll grab a few rolls at random and have the developed. Some turn out, others don't. It's always a discovery though. Today's batch yielded this image.... shot at sunrise outside my in-laws place on the Sacramento Delta. Given our recent loss, this was a beautiful moment to be uncovered. Reminded me a lot of my father in-law in a way I needed. #film #filmisnotdead #Pentax #pentaxk1000 #sunrise #Delta #river #lonelychair #abandoned
