Single Fin Creations

I have spent my entire life in the ocean. Diving, surfing and exploring. Over the years I have developed a form of treasure hunting that I have grown to love. I scour the reefs and beaches for the bits and pieces that the ocean steals from her explorers. It started with surfboard fins pulled from reefs, there’s an incredible scope of shapes and sizes, each with its own story and genre. But the treasures have extended far beyond that.

These art pieces are made using items, trash if you will, that has been recovered from the reefs, beaches and coastlines we visit. Old sunglasses that were lost in the shorebreak, fins from surfboards that were ripped out by the kelp or reef, dive masks found drifting along sandy bottoms in Hawaii and surfboards rescued from dumpsters and back alleys. Each digital NFT has a matching original art piece that was loving created in a modern take on the ancient form of Gyotaku.

A striking piece of surf art / wall art, our simple surf art is created from a reclaimed surfing or ocean related treasure found amongst the sand, surf and reef. They are lovingly, carefully and creatively dipped into paint, then gently pressed to paper and canvas in order to create a one of a kind impression.
