A striking piece of surf art / wall art, this simple surf art is created from reclaimed sunglasses found amongst the sand, surf and reef that are lovingly, carefully and creatively dipped into paint, then gently pressed to paper in order to create a one of a kind impression. A modern interpretation of the ancient art form Gyotaku. This print would be the perfect gift for a surfer, or for a beach themed room.

A mask is pretty much ubiquitous with the Pacific Ocean. Who hasn’t thoughts about the underwater world which opens to travelers through the simple act of snorkeling. Big sandy beaches often yield a mask or two over the course of a year as unwary adventurers get caught by a sneak wave and lose their gear in the shorebreak. We tend to find them tucked into the rocks and reef a little down the coast. Pulled this US Diver mask from the reef on the Kohala Coast and this pressing reminds me a bit of morning light and the reef viewed just beneath the surface.
