A striking piece of surf art / wall art, this simple surf art is created from reclaimed sunglasses found amongst the sand, surf and reef that are lovingly, carefully and creatively dipped into paint, then gently pressed to paper in order to create a one of a kind impression. A modern interpretation of the ancient art form Gyotaku. This print would be the perfect gift for a surfer, or for a beach themed room.

The art piece is an 11 x 14 print on Acid Free, 184 lb. 300 g/m2, Vellum paper. All paint is acrylic with a combination, of matte, gloss, satin and metallic finishes.

This pair of Goodr sunglasses was plucked from the shorebreak at Hapuna Beach during a late winter bodysurfing session. This particular sunglass shape is timeless.. reminiscent of summer time and convenience store shelves. Playfully pulling on the design strings of original Wayfarer that is so iconic. They sat on my shelf for a few months before I started to see a simple layout in my head… Stacked like those some convenience store racks and swirled like the sand and water textures I discovered them in with hints on sunset colors.
