The central coast of California is a different place to surf. Colder and more open, the color shifts and becomes darker. Kelp dominates the lineups with greens, browns, yellows dancing beneath your feet and daring to snap your fins. I love the hues of green in the water in that part of the world. Distinctly different from Southern California and definitively more intense than the vibrant blues of Hawaii.
